I got a Shiatsu massage yesterday and my back is so sore. What can I do?

Someone told me something a long time ago abut having a salt bath, but I cant remember if it was episom salts or sea salts. I cant remember. My doctor told me to get it done, but I'm very sore today.(It was my first massage, and my muscles were extremily tight)
Thanks everybody.
I hope I dont have any bruising. My doctor said I should have a massage often, because of my chronic migraines, I hope it wont hurt all the time like this. I imagine it will get better as I get more.
Mojo your crazy LOL.

thats not uncommon, especially for your first massage. hopefully you wont have brusing. epsom salt bath is good, it will help along with the warm bath will relax your muscles. you can take advil or ibuprofin up to 800 mg every 4-6hr as long as you can take it. drink ALOT of water, you need to flush your system out, you probably have and will have a lot of toxins running through your body. try not to have as deep of a massage next time, start out a little slower and build up as you go along with your massages.

drink a lot of water and soak in a hot bath. when you get a massage your body releases alot of toxins into your blood stream. flush your body out with water. you may even get a cold.

You can fly your sore back to Ohio and let MOJO give you a real nice back massage to reverse the pain the Shiatsu Master caused you and I will do it for free. Its the least I can do for you after you gave my last answer "BEST"……….you will not believe the magic that comes out of my fingers. you will tingle in places you did not know existed when I touch you.

not everyone would benefit from a shiatsu massage. the soreness is normal and you can try to stretch b4 and after the treatment. epsom salt is what you want to sit in though. as for migraines, you might want to go to an acupuncturist or herbalist. i treated a women who had severe heaviness migraines for 25 year, 3 – 4 times a week lasting average of 7 hours each. after 8 treatments, she didnt even have a headache. i still see her once in a while and she has never had the migraines, its been 1 year later. FYI. good luck

Last year, I was on a major music tour. Towards the end of the tour, I sprained my ankle really bad. The tour, luckily enough, had a shiatsu pro that traveled with the tour. When I went to her, she rubbed something on it and then started to push the swelling away. It hurt like all hell. Very intense pain. But the next day, I felt 10 times better. I am a believer in shiatsu!
