As soon as I left college, I realized that losing weight was not as easy to come by since I got home at around 7 pm and all I really wanted to do was laze in my favorite couch, grab a bag of potato chips and watch TV. My Men’s briefcase would find itself automatically on the doorstep time and again, since I couldn’t even musterthe strength to bring it up to the bedroom. I struggled with my weight for several years until I discovered I was already tipping the scales at 230 lbs in just a span of 11 months.
I decided to turn my life around and get on some weight loss program. The problem was, my job did not really allow me enough time to get out of the office and hit a 45-minute workout at the nearby gym. I had to develop some quick methodsinstead of just carrying my Attache case. Here are some of the tried and proven methods that helped me get back to 180 lbs.
1. Pack your lunch. I’ve been eating a lot of donuts during conferences and meetings in the office, as well as grabbed too much fast food. It is important to maintain your diet and keep it nutritious and healthy, regardless of how stressful work gets. I make it a point to preparemy lunch the night before. My favorite would be a tuna sandwich with some salad. Sometimes I would also bring a couple of instant whey protein shakes.

Walk to the bus station, take a jog home or do some pushups during your idle periods. I would do some jumping jacks, push ups, crunches and jogging in place.
3. Carry more weight. I find it very useful to help the ladies around the workplace by offering to carry their books, bags and folders. I also appear more gentlemanly this way. I make it a point to carry my own Laptop attache wherever I go. Bellboys tend to get it off me when I’m traveling. Even in your own hotel room, grab some time to get a quick workout.
4. Motivate yourself more. Find another person in work who can also set the same goal of losing more weight permanently. This partner will be your workout buddy. Encourage and psych up each other, taking measurements and comparing notes and gym logs. I tried using my boss as my official workout buddy during the final stages of my weight loss program. The best thing about this approach is that I almost never misseda single workout. I also kept my diet clean for several weeks. My boss almost gave me a promotion for helping him lose the fat too.

Lemonade Master Cleanse Detoxification

The lemon master cleanse is being touted as one of the best new “Hollywood Diets” on the market. This is a major misconception and one that we need to address before we go any further. The detoxification process is a good one, using it for the wrong reasons and the wrong way can be lethal. The Master Cleanse was designed by Stanley Burroughs in 1976 and has a full book that goes along with it. I would highly recommend reading the book prior to starting the cleanse if you chose to do it.
Personally I have done the Master Cleanse twice and have had wonderful results. Did I do it just to lose weight? NO. I will NOT now or ever support this detoxification program as a fad diet, though you obviously will lose weight while you are on it. I had many other beneficial results from the cleanse though. Let us begin with the ingredients for the cleanse and we can go further into the results this combination give you.
The recipe per serving is as follows: 1 cup distilled/filtered water, 2 tablespoons Grade B Maple Syrup (organic if possible), 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon (half of a regular lemon is usually this amt), and Cheyenne to taste. You need to drink at least 12 glasses of this a day to get enough calories and you should not be working out while you are on lemonade master cleanse detox.You can drink as many as you want but you need to drink at least 12. Along with a colon flush once a day and a Smooth Move tea at night.
If you do not drink enough or try to work out too much you WILL do damage to your system due to the fact that your body will start to attack it’s fat stores which is not the goal. Drinking the minimum you will get just over 1000 calories, it is more than enough to survive but not push yourself to excess. People have said that lemon master cleanse is bad for various reasons including calorie intake, though with the maple syrup this is definitely not the case. The reality is that people have been fasting on much fewer calories than the lemon cleanse has you ingesting for literally thousands of years.

When camping, access to water is one of the most important aspects of a camp site. After all, after a long day of hiking, everyone is thirsty and no one wants to have to go very far to get a drink. But even if you are right next to a stream, you still have one hurtle you must clear in order to replenish your liquids-the water has to be made safe. Ingesting water straight from a mountain stream is a great way to end up with giardiasis, or “beaver fever.” This disease is a common cause of gastroenteritis in humans, and it can result in some fairly nasty symptoms. So in an effort to avoid explosive diarrhea (told you the symptoms were nasty), a responsible hiker needs to treat water before drinking it. Fortunately, thanks to modern science and technology, this is fairly easy to accomplish.
The first approach to ensuring safe drinking water is also the oldest and simplest-just boil the water. This tactic has been used for hundreds, probably thousands, of years. The bacteria that cause beaver fever cannot survive in water that has reached boiling temperature. In order to be sure that all bacteria have been killed, bring the water to a rolling boil and keep it that way for at least one minute. There are both advantage and disadvantages to this method of making water safe. While it is cheap, requiring only a fire and a pot, it is also fairly time consuming. Water filters consist of a hand pump and an intake hose. When the pump is utilized, the hose draws water from the stream and forces it through an internal filtering element. Although medical science has not yet found the exact cause of headaches, some of the most common cause of headaches are related to everyday stress. I used to have a lot of problems simply because my body clock was not working right. I have lost 2 jobs in the past and a girlfriend just because I was late each time. I notice that I also feel very grumpy or giddy if I didn’t catch enough sleep. I then devisedways to improve my sleeping periods. It took me about 3 weeks to complete the process. Now, I can call myself a morning person. Maybe these tips will help you too.
1. The Right Time
I started by developing a schedule. The schedule also had corresponding objectives so I had to finish tasks on time. If I failed to complete one, I forced myself to move on to the next, just watching the Atomic clocks as I go. The consequenceof delaying was an unfinished job. Of course, this would still cause me to either cram or just get scolded at. After a week, I learned how to pace myself better. I adjusted the timeframes as well, depending on the demands of any given assignment.
2. The Right Routine
I also developed a routine, so I wouldn’t get lost in the shuffle. Having a lot of idletime during the day actually led me to pore over more work just before bed. I always ended up sleeping almost at midnight. The routine consisted of my usual work, leisure periods and even the times when I’m supposed to have lunch or have a snack. Creating a sound schedule and routine always makes me hit meetings right on target.
3. The Right Accessories
Desk clocks work best for me when I’m busy on the study table. I would set the alarm after a couple of hours, so I’d know what to do next. When I’m exercising, I also always take a sports watch with me so I can enhancethe pace if I seem to be relaxing a bit. A heart rate monitor is also good. Exercising is one of the best ways to lull yourself to sleep at night. I squeeze in anywhere between 30 and 120 minutes of cardio just to tire myself out. I invested in a treadmill so I’d run in the next room then crash right into the mattress afterwards.
4. Medications and the Environment
I’d rather invest in a Decorative wall clock than take sleeping medications. I guess it helps for some who really have problems like insomnia. Usually, a glass of milk does the trick for me. Try not to drink too much water before bed or you’ll have to emptyyour bladder in the middle of the night. Some individuals actually have problems getting back to sleep. Check that the environment is conducive for sleep too by setting the right room temperature, keeping clean sheets and playing soft music if you want.
