A Quick Snapshot Massage Chair Review of Omega Orion M-2
The simple yet elegantly designed Orion M-2 massage chair by Omega, Inc. is one of the best buys that you can have. Widely known for its advance technology and outstanding craftsmanship, Omega tagged the Orion M-2 at only $1,500 and below.
You can cast away your fears when buying an Omega massage chair. Unlike some other manufacturers, Omega has national distribution which means that it has retail clients. Having retail clients is a strong proof that the company is capable of delivering high quality products. Many customers end up being cheated in their efforts to save money. It’s too late for them to discover that the chair they purchased does not function well or that it has no replacement parts. It would be best if you take extra care when choosing a company to trust when it comes to buying massage chairs.
When it comes to warranty, Omega as an entry level massage chair comes with good warranty coverage. You are assured of excellent customer service that is prompt, quick, and accurate. With 1 year warranty on the frame and 6 months on parts, your Orion M-2 will surely give you service that’s uninterrupted. Omega’s track record of good reputation for many years is supported by many of its clients.
The attractive Orion M-2 easily catches your attention because of its sleek design that matches almost any kind of room. The padded armrests, thin chair back, silver trim on the side panels – all of these enhance the chair’s elegant look.
What is unique about the Orion M-2 is the design of its remote control. Instead of a remote stand found in other brands, this one has its remote in a built-in holder underneath the armrest. This makes it even simpler to use with both its automatic and manual programs. You can choose among the three automatic program settings of 5, 10, and 15 minutes. There are three massage techniques – kneading, swaying, and rolling which are set manually. For your back, you can choose among full back, lower back, and upper back courses.
Back massage is done by a roller unit which can move 23 inches up and down your back. Instead of a plastic back cover which is used in most chairs, the Orion has fully upholstered front and back. To give you a wider range of motion, the chair can be moved from 150 to 170 degrees and can be reclined back to as much as 170 degrees. A lever and a piston control the chair’s reclining motion.
Your buttocks and thighs are taken care of by the Orion’s eight built-in roller heads found in the seat. To improve and optimize function of your blood vessels and improve blood circulation, it has a vibrating function which can be set at three levels of intensity.
The leg rest with a mechanical paddle is great for your calves. It is adjustable to exactly pinpoint the area to be massaged. You can even adjust it to a full horizontal position by using a piston that is built in.
With the versatility, design, functions and good warranty of the Orion M-2 massage chair, you do not need a high priced one to say goodbye to stress and tension.

I have a bad back – so rather than have my husband rub my back every night, we aggreed to look into finding a nice massage chair that isn’t tacky. Heat, vibration, and rollers that move up and down would be nice. If anyone can find some good options – with links, etc, I would really appreciate it, especially if you can find one that is blue or khaki. There is 10 points for the best answer & options. Thank you!
My mom has one that we got at sharper image you might want to try there?

Someone told me something a long time ago abut having a salt bath, but I cant remember if it was episom salts or sea salts. I cant remember. My doctor told me to get it done, but I'm very sore today.(It was my first massage, and my muscles were extremily tight)
Thanks everybody.
I hope I dont have any bruising. My doctor said I should have a massage often, because of my chronic migraines, I hope it wont hurt all the time like this. I imagine it will get better as I get more.
Mojo your crazy LOL.
thats not uncommon, especially for your first massage. hopefully you wont have brusing. epsom salt bath is good, it will help along with the warm bath will relax your muscles. you can take advil or ibuprofin up to 800 mg every 4-6hr as long as you can take it. drink ALOT of water, you need to flush your system out, you probably have and will have a lot of toxins running through your body. try not to have as deep of a massage next time, start out a little slower and build up as you go along with your massages.
What is the difference between a Thai massage and a Shiatsu massage?

I understand that one is from Thailand and one is from Japan, but what are the essential differences? And which one will be better for removing tension from my upper back and neck?
While both types of massage are done on a mat lying on the floor, Shiatsu works the meridian points through accupressure. Thai works the body through yoga poses. Like art, everyone has their preferences. You really must try them ALL out to determine which massage is the most beneficial to you. There are over 250 different types of body work, all of which claim to relieve stress and tension everywhere.
Happy hunting!

What does the Shiatsu massage focus on?

I bought my mom a 200 dollar massage gift certificate. She wants mostly her back. What does Shiatsu focus on mostly?
Shiatsu is the use of the fingers and hands to apply pressure to specific points on the body. These massages are performed fully clothed and often on a mat on the floor. Usually the goal is to balance the body as a whole with focus on specific problem areas.
If your mom is looking for a full body massage with deep focus on her back, she may want to look at a Swedish Massage based treatment. This kind of massage is more like what you see represented on tv or in photos of "massage".
Since massage is such an individual therapy, it can vary from one practioner to another. What one may call "Shiatsu" may be the genuine Japanese form, or it may be a westernized Shiatsu-based treatment. There really is no "wrong" way to massage, but it's easier to choose your treatment when you know exactly what to expect.
One of the absolute best ways to pick a massage is to speak with the practioner. Have your mom call the business you got the certificate to and just explain that she's trying to choose a treatment. All she needs to do is describe that she'd like a massage with a great deal of focus on her back. The business will be able to explain the treatment options and help her choose her favorite.
